Slurp into Spring with the Digest #11, March, 2023:

March is known for its swings. They say it comes in like a lion's mane mushroom and out like a leg of lamb, but really it's a dance, a sashay back and forth between hot and cold. 

This issue we're offering a bit of both; we have cozy poems and wandering essays on the comforts of soup. Sink your teeth into Chad Knuth's sizzling poem about piping hot North Carolina meat, with the salivatingly salacious title, 'Johnny Had Me Good.' 

And of course, our resident Digest Mother-Writers-in-Residence delivers something in between the in between; A warm cold -- A cold warm. Have a life-giving bowl of seafood risotto that both evokes the hot Italian beach and the comfort of one's grandparents. And cosy up to our resident baker, Suzie Parrasch's ever-giving home kitchen for some brownies, which are warm, delicious, and comforting, just right for every occasion; just like Digest.
